During the seminar Prof. Erb will introduce the possibilities in the Biotech and Pharmaceutical Industry for Master, PhD Students and Postdocs interested in pursuing a career in industry. The following topics will be covered:

  • Introduction to the Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Which jobs are available in Pharmaceutical Industry
  • How to best apply for a position
  • Applications and personal interview
  • Checking each personal c.v.
  • Letters of recommendation and report cards
  • Self-consciousness and self-reflection
  • Hands on training of personal job interviews
     

Trainer
Prof. Dr. Klaus Erb studied Biology in Würzburg and was working as a Junior Group leader at the Center for infectious diseases in Würzburg on infection-induced immune modulation. The last 16 years he was working in Research at Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals in Biberach Germany as Laboratory head and project leader. The focus of his research was Immunology and development of drugs for the treatment of Respiratory Disorders and Cancer. He participated in the development of Drugs, which are now on the market-from preclinical research to clinical development.
